Accessibility that ships

Accessibility means more people can use the product. Follow WCAG basics: contrast, readable type, labels, keyboard paths, and clear focus.

Checks that ship

  • Colour contrast — text readable on its background.
  • Typography — size and spacing that stay readable.
  • Keyboard — tabs and buttons usable without a mouse.
  • Alt text — describe meaningful images and icons.
  • Forms — clear labels, errors, and focus states. Colour is not the only signal.
  • Touch targets — big enough to tap on a phone.

Tools and people

Use a contrast checker or a Figma accessibility plugin. When you can, watch someone with different needs use the flow. Keep learning as standards update.
