Giving and taking critique

Feedback improves the work. Treat it as part of the process, not a personal attack.

When you receive feedback

  • Listen without interrupting.
  • Ask clarifying questions to find the real concern.
  • Act fast on clear, useful changes.
  • If it conflicts with good UX, explain your reasoning calmly.
  • Offer options that still meet the client’s goal.

When you give feedback

Point to the user and the task. Say what is unclear or blocking. Ask what decision is needed next. Avoid “I just don’t like it.”
